• Bag boundary →

  The join between two shuffled bags. Consecutive matching pieces can occur here. Tracking the boundary tells you which pieces remain guaranteed in the current seven-piece set.

• Randomizer →

  The algorithm choosing the piece sequence. Seven-bag, history-based generators and less constrained random selection produce different repetition and drought behavior. Do not assume every Tetris game uses bags.

• Drought →

  A long wait for a particular piece. Seven-bag limits the wait between matching pieces to at most twelve other pieces; older randomizers may permit much longer droughts.
