• Soft drop →

  Move the active piece downward faster while retaining control, subject to the game's landing rules. Use it to reach the entry height for a tuck or spin before locking.

• Sonic drop →

  Drop instantly to the landing surface without immediately locking. You can then rotate or slide if the rules and remaining lock time allow it. It is not the same as hard drop.
