Classic Tetris play relying on the game's built-in horizontal autorepeat rather than rapid repeated taps. It requires careful charge management; it does not mean a special modern settings preset.

• Hypertapping →

Rapid repeated directional button presses instead of waiting for DAS. Used in classic NES play to move pieces faster than the built-in repeat, particularly when gravity leaves little time.

• Rolling →

A classic NES input technique using sequential finger motion, often against the back of the controller, to generate rapid directional presses. It bypasses waiting for autorepeat; it does not alter the game's rotation rules.
